2 cups sugar
1-1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 drops peppermint (adjust to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, water and syrup until sugar is dissolved, then don't stir again during the cooking. Cover and let boil 3 minutes; then remove cover and boil till it forms a soft ball in cold water.
Remove and add vanilla and peppermint and beat until creamy. Then knead with hands until smooth. Put powdered sugar on board and roll quickly to 1/4 inch. Thickness and cut with thimble or small cutter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and let stand a few hours to becomes firm.
