1 (14 oz) pkg gingerbread mix
1 (5.1 oz) pkg cook and serve vanilla pudding mix
1 (30 oz) can pumpkin pie filling
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 tsp ground cardamon or cinnamon
1 (12 oz) container frozen Cool Whip or fresh whipped cream
2-3 gingersnaps (optional)

Directions:
Make and bake gingerbread according to directions. Cool completely. Prepare pudding according to directions and set aside to cool. Stir the pumpkin, sugar and cardamon into the pudding. Crumble 1/2 gingerbread into bottom of a large pretty glass bowl. Pour 1/2 of the pudding mix over the gingerbread, then add a layer of whipped cream. Repeat with the remaining gingerbread, pudding and whipped cream. Sprinkle top with crushed gingersnaps if desired. Refrigerate overnight.
