4 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1/2 cup seedless raisins
6 slices of bread (French is wonderful)
4 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla

SAUCE:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla and raisins. Pour into 8 x 12 x 12 baking dish. Butter bread and arrange flat in egg mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake about 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.

SAUCE:
Melt butter in small sauce pan. Add sugar and let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the fire and stir in evaporated milk. Serve warm over bread pudding.
