1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup margarine (soft tub)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl thoroughly. Add the remaining dry ingredients and lastly blend in the chocolate chips. Drop ball shape dough onto a cookie sheet, prefer the non stick aluminum bakeware. Bake at 350 for about 9 minutes until golden brown.
