Ingredients:
2 c brown sugar
3/4 c shortening
2 c mashed bananas
2 tsp soda - in bananas
2 eggs
3 c flour
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
No directions were given. Just mix it all together and pour in either layer cake pans or a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake as you would other cakes of this size and texture.

It would be good with a butter icing flavored with bananas by placing them between the layers. Give it a try.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Alma was Mom's second oldest sister. This may be the only recipe from Aunt Alma in Mom's large collection. Since I wanted all of Mom's siblings represented in this cookbook, this cake recipe from Aunt Alma is it. Sounds good.
