4 eggs
2 c. pecans
1 can (cup) Angelflake coconut
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 pkg (8 oz) dates
1 c. margarine (2 sticks), melted
1 tsp soda
1 lb. orange slice candy
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour


1 small can (6 oz) frozen orange juice, melted but undiluted.
2 1/2 to 3 c. powdered sugar.

Cut pecans, dates and orange slices in small pieces and roll in flour to avoid sticking. Add coconut. Cream sugar and melted butter. Beat eggs and mix with sugar and butter. Sift flour and soda together. Add to mixture alternating with milk. Add fruits and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 300 for two hours.
[Leave cake in pan. Make icing and pour over cake. Let stand overnight in pan. Warm pan in hot water to remove cake.]
Icing: Mix ingredients well.
