Ingredients:  
1 chicken, cut in serving pieces
1/2 to 1 stick margarine
Spices: garlic, thyme, basil, etc.
salt and pepper
1/2 c. vinegar added to 1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine; brown chicken pieces.
Place in shallow, flat casserole. Sprinkle with spices, salt and pepper. Pour vinegar and water over chicken.
Cook covered at 350 for approx 1 hour. (Uncover last 20 minutes). For additional gravy, add water.

OPTIONAL: If desired, omit browning process and marinate chicken in refrigerator overnight, with spices, vinegar, water. Then cook as directed.
