1/2 c. molasses
2 T. sugar
2 T. melted butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda

Sauce:
2 egg yolks
1 c. powdered sugar
1 bottle whipping cream
sherry

Directions:

Mix pudding ingredients and beat well. Add scant 1/2 c. boiling water. Steam one hour.
For the sauce: Beat ingredients well and add whipping cream. Flavor with sherry.

I believe you could use a double boiler to cook this. I found just before Mom (Alleyne) died that she preferred this to chocolate pudding but fixed the chocolate for others!
