1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, coarsely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 c sliced black olives
about 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
black pepper
6 large corn tortillas
2 c shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat, onion and garlic, stirring frequently. Drain off excess drippings. Add tomato sauce, olives, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer about 5 minutes uncovered. To assemble, add a bit of meat sauce to the center of the shallow baking pan or 9 inch cake pan. Top with corn tortilla. Spread with more meat sauce and sprinkle with part of the cheese. Top with another tortilla and repeat meat and cheese layers until all tortillas are used. Sprinkle the last bit of remaining cheese on top as the last layer. Cover with foil and bake in preheated 400 to 425 oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove fil and let stand about 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
