7 slices firm bread
1/4 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c finely diced cooked corned beef
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 c milk
1/2 tsp salt
dash of cayenne
2 tsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cut crusts from bread and put a layer of bread in bottom of greased shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish, cutting slices to fit. Sprinkle one third of cheese and beef on bread. Repeat twice and top with a layer of bread. Mix eggs, milk, salt and cayenne and pour over bread mixture. Dot with butter. Bake in 350 oven about 30 minutes.
