1 1/2 c cornmeal
1 large onion
2 eggs
sweet milk
1-2 chopped fresh jalapeno (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornmeal, onion and eggs with a little salt. Add milk so that batter is soft but firm enough to hold shape when dropped by spoon into hot fat, 300-325.

For the reunion we make enough for 200 people. This is a smaller batch, dozen or so. I don't use written recipes much, so you may need to play with it a bit, and put your own flavor and texture in it. Gracie
