1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1/4 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, egg together. Add vanilla and milk alternately with the dry ingredients. Pour into muffin pan and bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle each with a pinch of brown sugar to serve.
Makes 12 muffins.

These muffins always turn out right. Even a little gooey, they taste great! Most ingredients are always on hand, so if company comes you can quickly put them together.
