1/2 c margarine
1/2 c shortening
3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 c Kelloggs All Bran or Bran Buds
1 12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c nuts (optional, I use pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, margarine, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and fold into creamed mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Drop by heaping teaspoon on to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Yield: 5 doz.
