"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste
1 Tbsp butter 1/2 c sugar 1 (5.3 oz) can evaporated milk 2 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
Melt the squares of chocolate together with butter in small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in sugar and evaporated milk. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thick. Cool slightly before using. This fudge sauce is wonderful over ice cream or pound cake.
