2 cups thinly sliced onions
48 oz. beef broth
butter
4 slices French bread
1/2 cup roughly grated romano cheese.

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter until well browned. Add broth with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes. Put in oven proof bowls. Place toasted french bread slices on top. Add grated cheese on top. Bake in a 275 preheated oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
