1 lb. hamburger
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. water
3 c. shredded raw cabbage
1 pkg. (2 1/2 tsp.) dry yeast
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. warm milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. melted shortening
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook hamburger and onion in skillet and drain fat. Add water, cabbage and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until all water evaporates. Cool.

To make dough, mix remaining ingredients, knead and let rise unitl doubled in size (about 30 min). Roll out dough into rectangle about 1/4 in. thick. Cut 8 squares and fill with meat mixture to make burgers.

Let rise again 20 min. Bake at 375 F for 30 min.
