2 T butter
2 T flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. chicken broth
1/4 grated American cheese
8 slices bacon (crisp)
12 to 15 stalks cooked asparagus
4 slices baked chicken or turkey (1/2" thick)
4 slices white toast
4 T grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Make a white sauce by melting butter in small sauce pan. Stir in flour, cook over low heat 3-5 minutes. Add chicken broth, continue to stir as sauce thickens. Add salt and pepper, add grated cheese stirring until melted.

Place toast on four oven proof plates, arrange asparagus on toast, top each with a piece f chicken or turkey. Cover each piece with 1/4 c of sauce, then 2 slices of bacon top with 1 T grated parmesan cheese. Place under broiler until cheese begins to brown. Remove and serve immediately on plates straight from oven.
