2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups finely chopped nuts
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar and salt together; work in butter and vanilla. Add 2 cups nuts; mix well. Shape into balls. Place on greased cookie sheets; bake in moderate 350F oven about 40 minutes. Roll plain cookies in powdered sugar while warm. Pecans, walnuts, almonds or filberts may be used.
