1 c softened butter
1 c peanut butter (any style)
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c Quaker Oats
1 c flour
2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. In large bowl beat butter, peanut butter and sugars; blend in eggs and vanilla. In medium bowl combine oats, flour soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture, mixing well. Shape dough to form 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with fork dipped in sugar to form crisscross pattern. Bake about 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack.

For drop cookies: drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with fork as directed. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack.
