3 c Quaker Oats
1 c flour
1 c melted butter
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c raisins
1/2 c chopped nuts
1 egg
1/4 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt, optional
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Heat oven to 375. In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack.

Variation: For bar cookies:press dough into ungreased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake about 17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely; cut into bars.
