1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp grated orange peel
4 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/4 c milk or orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter; add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and orange peel, mixing well. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add alternately with liquid to creamed mixture. Chill.

Roll 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick on floured board. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake in 375 oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until light brown. Place on wire racks to cool; decorate as desired.
