2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
1 can diced green chilies
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans
1 can tomato sauce
2 clove garlic, minced
5 Tblsp chili powder
pepper and salt to taste
1 tsp cornmeal mixed with 1 Tblsp water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the meat, pour off fat, then add chopped onions and garlic and cook until tender. Place all ingredients, except cornmeal mixture, in a large stock pot and simmer for 2 hours. You can add more chili powder to your taste if desired. Add cornmeal mixture and cook for about 20 more minutes. Serve hot with cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.
