4 quarts cabbage, shredded
2 tablespoons salt
Chopped green peppers
1 bunch celery
4 cups sugar
2 cups white vinegar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Soak cabbage 2 hours with 2 tablespoons salt. Boil sugar, white vinegar, water, celery seed, and mustard seed for 5 minutes. Cool. Drain cabbage well. Pour syrup over well drained cabbage, peppers and celery. Refrigerate. Let stand at least 24 hours before serving. Serve cold and will keep in refrigerator for over 6 weeks.
