1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup finely chopped black walnuts
1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. In medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat and add sugar, brown sugar, milk, corn syrup, vanilla extract, salt and eggs, beating well with hand beater or wire whisk. Stir in black walnuts and pour mixture into pie crust. Bake at 350 for 45 to 55 minutes until filling is puffed; cool.
(Filling will shrink to original size while cooling.) Top with ice cream and serve

This dessert is super with black walnuts and if the ice cream is homemade black walnut ice cream with a little maple syrup in it. You can also use English Walnuts but I prefer the black walnut meats.
