4 pork chops, cut 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup fine cracker crumbs (about 12 crackers)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons oil
3/4 cup beer
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup beef bouillon
1 tablespoon ketchup

Dip chops in a mixture of egg and water, coating both sides with crumbs, salt and paprika. Brown chops slowly in oil, cooking about 15 minutes. Reduce heat, add 1/4 cup beer. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until done.
Make a paste of flour and a little of remaining beer. Place chops on platter. Stir flour paste, rest of beer, bouillon and ketchup into cooking liquid. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Season to taste. Makes really good gravy.
