5-6 c sliced, pared apples
1 c flour
1/2 to 1 cup sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 c melted, cooled shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Place sliced apples in baking dish. Mix together the remaining ingredients, except the shortening and cinnamon, with fork or pastry blender and sprinkle over apples. Pour the melted shortening over entire pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake at 350 for about 20 to 30 minutes. (This was left off the original recipe, so it is my best guess.)
