2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 c butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 tsp baking soda



Sugar Mixture
1/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
36 pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
For cookies, in large mixer bowl. combine all cookie ingredients. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed, 2-3 minutes. Shape rounded tsps of dough into 1-inch ball.

For sugar mixture, in small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Place 1 pecan half in center of each cookie. Bake for 10-14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove immediately.

The kids will probably remember that I always mixed cookies in my food processor because it is much faster and less messy that way, but mine is the 14 c model. This was also a favorite in Melinda's second grade class.
