1 package yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 c. tepid water
1/4 c. corn meal
1/4 c. salad oil
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. flour

Mix yeast and sugar into tepid water. Cover and let set until yeast gets bubbly. Add corn meal, salad oil, and olive oil. Stir well. Add 1 1/2 c. flour, stir well. Add rest of flour. Stir well. Knead for 10-15 min. Cover and let it rise. After it has risen, punch it down with fingers and let rise again. Preheat oven to 450.
Spread dough in a large deep dish pizza pan - no need to grease pan. Top dough w/ slices of mozarella.
Mash 3 cans Italian plum tomatoes w/ fingers, squeezing out most of the liquid. Spread over cheese. Sprinkle on salt, pepper and oregano/basil. Add toppings from the following: 1 # it. sausage, cooked and drained, thinly sliced pepperoni; sliced ham, sliced onions, etc.
Cover with freshly grated parmesan cheese. (Do not use parmesan from a tub.) Bake for about 40 min. Take out and let settle before cutting.
