Venison Roast
1/2 package of onion soup mix
1 can mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast on large square of heavy aluminum foil. Sprinkle roast with 1/2 package of dry onion soup mix and 1 can mushroom soup. Fold foil over roast to make an air tight package.

Bake at 350 degrees 1-2 hours or about 30 minutes per pound.

After the deer is dressed, prep time is minimal.

This recipe is dated Jan. 1, 1986, when the men of the family were doing more hunting. As time passed and aging took its toll, wild game made fewer appearances on the table. Some of us didn't mind at all.
