Mix butter and gradually add about 1/2 of the sugar. Beat in 2 Tblsp light cream and the vanilla, then gradually blend in the remaining sugar. Add enough light cream to make it spreading consistency. This makes enough to frost one 2 layer cake or one dozen cupcakes.
Add other flavorings if desired and food coloring of your choice.
