1-1/3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1-3/4 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups quick cooking oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs, vanilla and oatmeal. Add flour mixture. Chill for 1 hour. Form into balls. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Press down with fork. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes.
