3 lbs. round steak, cubed
6 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground oregano
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp salt
1/2 - 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
2 large cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp oil
1 1/2 quarts water
1/2 cup cornmeal

Directions:
In Dutch oven, brown steak cubes in oil. Add seasonings and water; heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Stir in cornmeal and simmer uncovered, for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve with pinto beans and cornbread.
