1 1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. walnuts, ground (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8x12 pan. Cream shortening, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs. In seperate bowl, mix flour, walnuts, baking powder and salt. Slowly add to egg mixture, stirring until well blended. Spread dough into pan. Bake for 20-24 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
