6 T. margarine
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
3 T. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8x8x2 inch square baking pan. Beat butter for 30 seconds. Add the 1/4 c. sugar and salt, beating until fluffy. Stir in 1 c. flour. Pat dough onto the bottom on pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Squeeze juice from lemon into a small container. Add enough lemon juice from bottle to equal 3 T. lemon juice all together. Beat eggs, add remaining 3/4 c. sugar,
2 T. flour, lemon peel, lemon juice and baking powder. Beat for 3 minutes or until slightly thickened. Pur over baked layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes longer or until light golden brown around edges and center is set. Cool. Sift powdered sugar over top, if desired. Cut into squares.
