2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c butter
1 egg
1 c sour milk (add 2 tsp vinegar to milk to sour)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon and butter until it crumbs. Put aside 1/2 c of mixture and add the pecans if desired in small bowl. Take remaining crumbed mixture and add egg, milk and baking soda. Pour in greased 8X8, 9X9 or loaf pan. Cover with topping set aside. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Check with toothpick in center should come out clean.

This recipe is easy and made from ingredients that are usually in your pantry. I have made it without the nuts if I don't have any. This is a very old recipe from one of our neighbors, Mrs Fike, when I was growing up on Lee St.
