"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 stick softened butter 1 heaping Tblsp mayonnaise 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 3 to 4 cloves garlic (pressed through a garlic press) 1 tsp garlic salt 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp dried parsley flakes 1/4 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp black pepper 1 loaf sourdough bread
Slice loaf of sourdough lengthwise. Mix all ingredients together and spread evenly on the face of the bread. Place on cookie sheet (covered in aluminum foil for easy cleanup) and broil until golden brown.
Makes enough for 1 loaf of french bread
I have never actually measured the ingredients for this recipe before, so these are my best guesses...Please adjust according to your taste!
