1 c. butter, softened
c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 (5 oz.) pkg. chocolate Kisses, unwrapped
confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar, & vanilla at medium speed until light & fluffy. Add flour & nuts, beat on low until well blended. Chill. Heat oven to 375. Using about 1 T. of dough, shape it around each kiss to make a ball. Be sure to cover the kiss completely. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until cookies are set but not brown. Cool slightly, remove to a cooling rack. While still a bit warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Store in a tightly covered container. Makes approximately 40.
