5 quarts cucumbers
1 quart white vinegar
3 quarts water
3/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon alum
Garlic
Dill

Directions:
Directions:
Wash cucumbers and drain. Arrange cucumbers in jars in which you have placed a garlic bud and dill. Bring vinegar, water, salt and alum to boil. Fill each jar and let stand 5 minutes. Empty liquid back in pot. Reheat to boiling and refill the jars. Place dill on top. Seal. Store for a month to complete pickling process. Use green dill that are full head off seed.
