Wash and slice pickles. Place in 2 quart jar. Mix 3 cups hot water, 1/4 cup salt, 1 cup vinegar. Bring to boil and pour over pickles. Seal and let stand at least 3 weeks. When ready to fix pour off brine and pour boiling water over pickles and let cool. Make the following syrup. 3 cups sugar, 1 cup vinegar, 1-1/2 cups water, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon celery seeds, stick cinnamon (broken into pieces). Cool and pour over well drained pickles. Ready in a day.
