1lb. yellow eyed beans,
1/4 lb. salt pork - scored,
1 tbsp. sugar,
1 tsp. salt,
1/4 c. molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Drain, add to crock pot. Put salt pork on top of beans then add sugar, salt and molasses one layer at a time. To that add hot water to cover and slow cook for 6-8 hours.

I have never been able to make them taste like Dad's but he enjoyed trying to teach me how to get it just right. Of course, there was nothing like his light fluffy bisquits to go with them. Plus his company!
