1 C. flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 pound dates
5 Egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 1/2 C. walnuts
5 egg yolks
1 C. Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour once; add Baking Powder; sift 3 times. Add dates and
nuts to flour, mixing well. Mix egg yolks and sugar, combine with
floured fruit. Fold in egg whites. Pour to 3/4 inch thickness in 2
8x8 inch greased pans. Bake 50 min in moderate oven (325F).
When cool, cut in strips 1x4 inches.
