5 Tblsp Butter
1 onion
1 leek
3 cloves of garlic
4 shallots
2 turnips
2 parsnips
2 carrots
3 potatoes
6 cups of chicken broth
2 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large saucepan, sauting the chopped onion,leek, garlic and shallots until soft.
2. Peel and chop turnips, parsnips, carrots and potatoes.
3. Add chicken broth and chopped vegetables. Bring to a boil and turn down and simmer for 35 minutes. Add pepper and salt to taste.
4. Blend in a food processer or blender until smooth.
