1 large head of lettuce or mixture of greens
1 C. sliced water chestnuts
C. diagonally sliced celery
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 C. crumbled, cooked bacon
1 box frozen peas
1/4 C. chopped onion
1 C. mayonnaise or more, if needed
Parmesan cheese.

Directions:
Directions:
Break lettuce or greens and place in a large salad bowl. Sprinkle onion and celery over greens, then add frozen peas and water chestnuts. With a rubber spatula, spread mayo over all. Cover entire surface to edge of the bowl. Sprinkle sugar, cheese and crumbled bacon on top. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 3 hrs. Toss when ready to serve.
