4 eggs
1 C sugar
1 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 lb pitted dates, chopped
1 C nut meat

Beat eggs, then add sugar until light and fluffy. Sift together
flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to sugar mixture and beat
well. Mix in nuts, dates, and vanilla. Put in well greased loaf pan
and bake at 300 for 30 mins. Reduce heat to 250 and bake 1-1
1/2 hours longer.
