3 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon salt
1 to 2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 pounds beef, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 cup dry red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in oil until tender. Add caraway seeds, marjoram, salt and paprika moistened with vinegar; mix well. Push to one side. Add meat and brown well on all sides. Mix with onions. Pour in wine, cover tightly and simmer for 2 to 2-1/2 hours, or until meat is tender. If necessary, add water sparingly during cooking. Serve with noodles.
