1 pint scalded whole milk
1/4 lb butter
1 tbsp salt
8 T sugar
6 cups flour
1 yeast cake in 3/4 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and let rise until double in size. Put in baking tins and cook in 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Baste with butter while hot after removing from oven.

Mama has always made the most delicious hot rolls and shaped them like a professional baker. Sometimes she would use the same recipe and put the dough in loaf pan. This was so good with fresh homemade mayhaw jelly...hard to quit eating!
