1/2 lb butter, 8 lemons, and 1/2 cup vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add lemons and juice and vinegar.
Cook until blended and keep warm on pit while
basting meat during cooking. Add the bar-b-que sauce about the last 10 minutes of cooking time so at not to burn.

Before the days of ready-made basting brushes, etc
Daddy would make his out of torn strips of fabric tied together and attached to a stick or small piece of wood. The secret to good moist bar-b-que is constant basting.
