1 1/2 lb. hot sausage
2 15 ox. cans garbanzo beans
2 T. Olive oil
4 T. chopped fresh rosemary
1 1/2 C. grated romano cheese
10 oz. orcchiette pasta
1/4 t. dried crushed red pepper (optional)
1/4 C. tomato paste
48 oz. low sodium chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
Strain the liquid from the canned beans into a blender of food processor. Add 1 C. of the beans and puree until smooth. Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Add sausage, rosemary, garlic and crushed red pepper. Saute until sausage is cooked through. Mix in tomato paste. Add bean puree, remaining beans, broth and pasta. Simmer until pasta is tender and mixture is thick, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Stir in 1/2 C. romano cheese. Pass remaining cheese while serving.
