Ingredients:  
2 Cucumbers, peeled and sliced
1 medium Onion, sliced
1/2 C. Vinegar
1/2 C. Sugar
Water

Directions:
Directions:
Place cucumbers and onions in a bowl, alternating slices. Mix sugar and vinegar, until sugar is dissolved, pour over slices. Add cold water to cover slices. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve, if you let them marinate for a least an hour the flavor is better.

This is an old recipe that has been around as long as I can remember.
I can recall eating it at my Grandmother house. My Mother made it often during the summer months when cucumbers were in season. I learned to make it the way she made it. It was a common dish at “church dinner on the ground” when I was growing up.
