1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk or sweet milk with 1 teaspoon vinegar
3 cups bran buds
2-1/2 cups flour
2-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour water on 1 cup bran buds and let set until you mix other ingredients and then add bran buds. Put in muffin tins. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
